I get to see and sell many beautiful homes in Merida. All are different and unique in their own way. But there is that rare occasion I set into one home and don’t want to leave. This is one of those homes. This is a story of one ladies dream and the foresight from taking a complete rubble and turning into a silk purse. I know because I sold her the original home years ago. The pictures and short video does not do this home justice. The house is 10.40 meters by 34 meters deep. There is a garage for off street parking that is so important in Merida. But walking into the front door the whimsical magic begins. There are two room in the front that are being used as sitting areas, they could be used as bedrooms as well. They share a center bathroom. Then walking back the dining area and kitchen area to you left, lovely kitchen with lots of storage areas. But when you turn around you do a step back when you see the magical center terrace off the kitchen. So lush and green and the bubbling sound of the stone fountain transports you to a place of peace an calm. I could have sat there for hours, just enjoying the moment. Off this terrace is a living room sitting area. The Master suite is off this room. It is large and spacious. The use of old colonial doors for the closets area is brilliant. There is a large bathroom off the bedroom. Then to the garden area. Once again beautiful plant and a feeling of being far away. There is a patio area for outside with a dinning, a gorgeous pool and a sitting area under the massive shade of a old tree. The second floor bedroom has so many windows and small balcony I felt like I was lost in a beautiful tree house. There is a lovely bathroom here as well. Off this bedroom is a very private area for sunning or just relaxing in the afternoon as the wild parrots fly overhead. There is a sink and pace for a wet bar there too. I stood here and looked out into the backyard area..a sea of green, what a feast for the eye. The house has a water softener system, five stage carbon water filtration with UV light in the kitchen, it also has pressurized water. There are so many beautiful features, the used of stone wall, beautiful wooden doors and by far my favorite the huge stone fountain. The furnishing are negatable. This is a home you must let me show you. I promise you too will want to linger a while longer.
